Season Zero Is Open

Season Zero is open.

The old ruling family that held Ashgate together for a generation is gone — no body, no funeral, no confirmed successor. For the first time in living memory, the streets are actually open, and we're inviting the first players in to help prove out the city before anyone else sees it.

Season Zero is a closed beta, not a demo. Crimes, ranks, training, equipment, vehicles, businesses, jail and hospital, families, the Backroom forums, Street Talk chat, territory, the Back Alley Market, and The Ashgate Ledger are all live and playable today. What we're testing is balance, not whether the systems exist.

Invitations go out in waves from the Season Zero waitlist. If you're in, you keep permanent Founder recognition no matter what changes before Season One — the real public launch, when the old family's replacement finally gets decided by the players who showed up first.

Progress, balance, and rules may still change during Season Zero. That's the point of a founder season: we'd rather get the economy and combat right with a smaller crowd than lock in mistakes at full scale.
