Privacy Policy

Draft policy - last updated 2 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Ashgate collects, why we collect it, and the choices available to players. Ashgate is designed to collect only the data needed to run the game, secure accounts, prevent abuse, process purchases, and support the community.

Information We Collect

We collect account information such as email address, username, password hash, verification status, and login records. We also store game data such as your player profile, progress, purchases, messages, forum posts, reports, support tickets, and moderation history.

For security, anti-cheat, rate limiting, and abuse prevention, we may store hashed records of IP addresses and browser user agents, timestamps, device/session signals, and audit logs. Payment providers process payment details; Ashgate stores payment order status, provider identifiers, and credit transaction records, not full card details.

How We Use Information

We use player information to operate the game, keep accounts secure, prevent cheating, detect multi-accounting and payment abuse, provide customer support, moderate community spaces, process purchases, maintain leaderboards and seasonal records, and improve the service.

Community Content

Forums, chat, messages, profile content, family activity, and reports may be reviewed by moderation tools and authorised staff when needed to enforce the Terms, Game Rules, Community Guidelines, or legal obligations. Private messages are not public, but reported or safety-relevant content may be reviewed in context.

Cookies and Consent

Essential cookies are used for login and core game security. Optional analytics or improvement cookies are only used where you have given consent. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.

Your Rights

Where applicable, including for players in the EU, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your account, restriction of processing, or a copy of your data. Account deletion may anonymise game records that must remain for security, accounting, dispute handling, anti-cheat, or community integrity.

Data Sharing and Retention

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with service providers that help us host Ashgate, process payments, deliver email, prevent abuse, or analyse consented usage. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, security, and support obligations.

Legal Review

This is a product draft for implementation and must be reviewed before public launch.
